Subprocessors

The third parties that process data on MapleChat's behalf.

Effective 2026-09-30

MapleChat uses a small number of third parties to deliver the service. Each is bound by contract to protect the data it handles and to process it only on our instructions. This list is maintained under the Data Processing Addendum.

Platform services

ProviderWhat it doesData involved
Meta PlatformsThe WhatsApp Business Platform itself — sending, receiving and template approvalContact phone numbers, message content and media
Google (Firebase Authentication)Authenticates your team members and issues session tokensNames, email addresses, authentication identifiers
CloudflareServes this website and the MapleChat app; carries all traffic between the app and our servers, terminating its encryption on the way; stores our backups; routes mail sent to our published addressesEverything the app sends and receives while in transit — contacts, message content and media, and session tokens; backup copies of workspace data; visitor IP addresses; anything you send us by email

Hosting and storage

MapleChat runs on commercial cloud infrastructure — the servers, database, media storage and cache that hold your workspace data, including contacts, message history and media.

We describe this as a category rather than naming a fixed provider. MapleChat is new, and the providers behind it are likely to change as it grows; pinning them here would mean a document that is out of date more often than it is accurate. Whoever they are at any given time, they are bound by the contractual terms described in the addendum, and the notice provisions below apply to every change.

To find out who currently hosts your data, write to privacy@maplechat.app and we will tell you. If your own compliance obligations require the provider named in writing before you sign, ask and we will put it in your agreement.

Payments

Payment processing is not implemented in MapleChat. No card or bank details pass through our systems today. When payments are added, the provider will be named here and customers notified before it handles any data.

Changes to this list

We will give notice before adding a subprocessor that processes customer personal data. If you have a reasonable objection on data-protection grounds, contact us and we will work with you to find a resolution; where none is possible, you may terminate the affected service.
